What a comparison like this can and cannot tell you
It answers one question precisely: how much of each salary survives payroll deductions. That is worth knowing, and it is often surprising, because provincial rates diverge more at the top than at the bottom and Ontario adds a surtax that a bracket table does not show.
It does not tell you what the money buys. Housing usually dwarfs the tax difference between two provinces, and so can commuting, childcare and insurance. Live In covers that side for the places it has guides for, and the province pages link through where a guide exists.
